This two and a half year course is for students wanting a career as a building designer or draftsperson within an architectural practice. Learn the skills, knowledge and application of industry specific software to deliver innovative design solutions for residential and commercial projects. Students will follow a project from conception to completion; through site selection, town planning, contracts and tender.
This course is delivered online from February until November over three days per week between 10am - 3pm and generally requires a 30 hours per week commitment. Study at home assignments will be issued in November after completion of the first year, to be completed prior to February when second year officially commences.
Occasional attendance during term will be required at the Bendigos Charleston Road Campus for tutoring, workshops and onsite visits. This will be advised at the start of each term.
For online learning you will need broadband internet and a computer system with the minimum requirements capable of Entry-Level Configuration for Autodesk Revit 2021, (*note: Revit is available for free from Autodesk to students enrolled in educational institutions). Study at home assignments will be required between November to February after completion of the first year.
Your fees are made up of four parts.

Students eligible for Free TAFE receive the tuition rate
free. Students eligible for JobTrainer pay 20% of the
tuition. Materials, consumables and student services
fees are payable by all students and do not receive a
JobTrainer discount, however concession rates for student
services fees are available for concession card holders,
apprentices, trainees and 100% off campus delivery courses.
Concessions for Diploma and Advanced Diploma course
categories are only available to Aboriginal or Torres
Strait Islanders.
