In response to Children’s Services legislative changes, Bendigo TAFE has developed a flexible, creative and responsive program to recognise early childhood educators and managers, who have been working in the industry, have a wealth of experience, skills and knowledge, but do not have formal qualification. This program will ensure that current educators obtain the qualifications stipulated in the Children’s Services regulations to maintain employment.
The program has been endorsed by the United Voice Early Childhood Education and Care Union, and will be facilitated by both Bendigo and Box Hill TAFE’s across metropolitan and regional Victoria through 2012–2013. The program is available to both union and non-union members.
