This qualification reflects the role of individuals who possess a sound theoretical knowledge base in human resources management and demonstrate a range of managerial skills to ensure that human resources functions are effectively conducted in an organisation or business area. This qualification is designed to reflect the role of individuals who are engaged in a management position within an organisation. The program is practical, contemporary and focuses on both personal and professional development; it will enhance current skills and provide a broad understanding of the principles required for effective business management. Duel qualification option The Diploma of Human Resource Management consists of eight units of study and the Diploma of Management consists of eight unit of study. However, by combining the two diplomas together you can do 11 units of study to receive a Diploma of Management and a Diploma of Human Resource Management. This duel qualification is suitable for a wide variety of management and human resources roles. You can start these courses at any time of the year as they are one day per unit per month of study.

Key areas of study revolve around Human Resource Management services such as recruitment, industrial relations and separation and termination as well as managing performance and workforce planning.

The evening course is being run in conjunction with the Diploma of Management. You will undertake 5 units common to each of these courses. The timetable has been designed to allow students to complete both of these Diplomas if desired. Students who have successfully completed the Diploma of Human Resource Management and who apply and are accepted into a relevant degree course at a tertiary institution, may be eligible for specific exemption.
