Description
This 2 day course is designed for students wishing to learn about the basic care of their pet dog or cat. Once this course is completed the students will have the knowledge to complete most basic grooming procedures on their pet. They will also gain an understanding of what it is like to work within the pet grooming industry. Students will bring dogs to class, cat grooming will be covered but practical grooming will not be included (due to species of animal in the same room). A basic grooming kit will be included: Brush, Comb, scissors and nail clippers. Topics covered will include: • History and evolution of the dog and cat • Parasites • The basic fundamentals of pet grooming • Clipping scissoring and finishing.
