Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL)

VCAL is a hands-on option for Years 11 and 12 students. It gives you practical work-related experience, as well as literacy and numeracy skills and the opportunity to build personal skills that are important for life and work.  Students who undertake VCAL are likely to be interested in going on to training at TAFE, doing an apprenticeship or getting a job after completing school. VCAL's flexibility lets you undertake a study program that suits your interests and learning needs.

VCAL programs are delivered at Bendigo TAFE through the Bendigo TAFE Youth Pathways programs at our Bendigo City Campus, Echuca and Castlemaine campuses.  For Years 10, 11 and 12 students who are specifically interested in pursuing an apprenticeship or traineeship in a technical trade and still want to complete years 10, 11 and 12, the Bendigo Technical Education College (BTEC) Campus offers VCAL.  You can find courses that are delivered on the BTEC website.
