Agriculture, Horticulture, Land Management and Animal Studies

Bendigo TAFE offers a range of courses in agriculture, horticulture, conservation and land management. These courses are delivered at the state of the art facility located at Charleston Road Campus Bendigo.  

In studying agriculture, you will learn basic farming skills in fencing, animal husbandry, tractor operation, welding and machinery maintenance. There is also the opportunity to specialise in beekeeping and build on management and business skills in the industry. Other options include courses in wool classing and wool preparation. 

Our horticulture courses will teach you a wide range of knowledge and skills in areas such as garden bed construction, soils and plant nutrition, installation of retaining walls, costing and estimation, plant ID and recommendations.  

Courses in conservation and land management programs have a strong industry focus and are highly regarded by industry. Our courses encompass a wide variety of specialties and techniques including those related to biodiversity, plant identification and health, water management, safe use of chemicals and environmental law.
