Training facility enhances learning for health students

The Bendigo TAFE Clinical Training Centre was established in a partnership between Bendigo Health and Bendigo TAFE, and provides a unique opportunity for healthcare training in our region.

The partnership between Bendigo Health and Bendigo TAFE provides opportunities for students undertaking the Diploma of Nursing, Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance  to complete part of their clinical training in a purpose built clinical skills centre.

Located close to the Bendigo hospital, the four-bed centre provides health students the opportunity to learn the practical skills they will need when caring for patients in a hospital and community setting.

Students also undertake practical placements at a number of public and private health care facilities in the Bendigo region. Integrating work and learning in this way ensures competent health care staff and best practice in patient care.

The facility has tea and coffee facilities with a fridge and vending machine (accessible through the aged care facility). Car parking is strictly enforced by the facility, staff and students are requested to park on the hill to the right of the Clinical Training Centre. There are also public transport options.
