Flexible Delivery, or what we used to call distance education or study by correspondence, offers someone the opportunity to undertake a course of study while balancing other commitments. This means that the student, who for a variety of reasons, is unable to attend classes, can complete their qualification by studying at home. This can be full time or part time and it is designed to suit the student's needs.
Delivery options include both Off Campus and On Line learning. Both options mean that the student can access materials, resources, links to further information, assignment details and assessments outside a traditional classroom environment - either all On Line, or a mixture of On Line, by post and email, or all by post.
Why use flexible delivery?
There are a number of reasons why you may want to undertake flexible learning, such as:
- you want that 'piece of paper';
- your work hours or family commitments prevent you from attending classes;
- the course of study that you want to complete is only available at a location that is an inconvenient distance from where you live.
