Entry Requirements for RPL
There are no specific entry requirements to undertake RPL, however it is recommended that based on specific qualifications, the candidate has recent work experience and is able to provide sufficient evidence.
Assessment for RPL
Assessment formally judges whether a person’s knowledge and performance meet industry accredited standards. Thus being competent means that you have the knowledge, skills, personal attitudes, and work practices required to do your job.
The RPL assessment interview can take up to three (3) hours. The assessment is based on evidence and information provided by the individual. This is measured against the criteria detailed in the relevant industry course. You will be guided through this process, identify any missing evidence, and be provided with advice to overcome any skill gaps such as further training options.
It is not possible to award part units. You do not need to be enrolled at Bendigo TAFE to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning.
