Application process and fees

Course admission requirements

​Where English is not your first language and in order to enrol in a CRICOS registered course at Bendigo TAFE you must have gained a minimum score of 5.5 in the English Language Testing System (IELTS).  However, if you have a score lower than 5.5 you have the option to enrol in our English Language Courses in order to increase your IELTS levels.

A course may also have specific pre-requisite criteria which you must meet.   This will be outlined in the detailed information for each course.

You must be 18 or over before you arrive in Australia. Bendigo TAFE does not enrol international students under 18 years of age

How to apply?
  1. Choose the course that you are interested in from the courses listed for International Students.
  2. Complete the International Students Application Form and send to Bendigo TAFE at PO Box 170, Bendigo Victoria, Australia, 3552 with the AUD50 application processing fee.

You will need to provide the following supporting documents:

  • copy of your passport, and visa pages, if applicable;
  • certified true copy of educational certificates and academic records, if applicable;
  • evidence of employment history, if applicable;
  • English language test results (IELTS), if applicable.

If your documents are in a language other than English, you must also provide an official certified translation.

Fees and charges

Your course costs consist of an application fee, course tuition fee, material fee, services and amenities fee. Fees for the 2011 calendar year are as follows.

These fees are charged for each subject and vary depending on the course. They are calculated before you enrol.

Fees may be subject to a price increase each year in line with annual fee pricing reviews.

Note - All course tuition fees are shown in Australian Dollars (AUD$) and do not include costs covering: accommodation and living expenses.  You will also be required to buy and pay for Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).  The average cost of annual single OSHC is AUD320.​

Refund policy

You must agree to the terms of the Bendigo TAFE International Student Refund Policy when you sign the International Student Agreement. The policy applies to all international students studying at Bendigo TAFE unless otherwise specified. Read the International Students Refund Procedure. ​
