This entry-level qualification provides individuals the opportunity to develop a general vocational outcome in agriculture. It provides the skills and knowledge to perform a variety of tasks in relation to cropping, plant nutrition, intensive horticulture and mixed farming enterprise skill set. Individuals with this qualification perform tasks in a variety of contexts, which involve some judgement in selecting and maintaining equipment and services. Job roles vary across different industry sectors and may include: Farm or station hand/worker, fencing contractor, chemical handling and machine maintenance. No occupational licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
