How to Apply and Enrol at Bendigo TAFE

 

Starting your study journey is simple! Follow these 4 easy steps:


Step 1: Choose Your Course

  • Visit bendigotafe.edu.au to browse all available courses.
  • Check the entry requirements for your course.
  • Don’t meet the requirements? You may be able to start with a pathway course.
  • Need help choosing? Contact the Skills and Jobs Centre for advice and support.

Step 2: Apply Online

  1. Go to the course page and click “Apply Now”.
  2. Fill in your basic details.
  3. Check your email for a link to complete the full application form.

You'll need to provide:

  • Your education history (upload transcripts if required)
  • Personal details
  • Your USI (Unique Student Identifier) → Create one at usi.gov.au
  • Proof of eligibility for Government Funding (Skills First Funding)

Choose ONE of the following to provide:

o   Green Medicare Card

o   Birth Certificate (AUS/NZ)

o   Passport (AUS/NZ)

o   VEVO check (non-citizens only)

If you're under 17, you will be asked to include:

  • A School Exemption Letter (ask your school for this)

Step 3: Check Course Suitability

You’ll complete two quick checks to see if this course is right for you and to identify any support you may need.

LLN – Language, Literacy & Numeracy

We check your Maths and English skills against the course requirements.

You can provide certified copies of the following in your application:

  • Year 12, VCAL, or VCE VM certificate, which will need to include your Maths and English levels
  • Completion of a Certificate IV or higher

If you don’t have either, you'll be asked to do an online Maths and English assessment, which will take approximately 50 mins.

*Some courses may require you to complete the online assessment even with prior certificates and/or require sitting the assessment in person on campus

PTR: Pre-Training Review

You’ll speak with an Admissions Officer who will:

  • Discuss your goals and whether the course suits your needs
  • Check your digital skills and any support needs
  • Confirm your Government Funding Eligibility

Step 4: Enrol and Pay

To finalise your enrolment and confirm your place, you must:

  • Accept your offer – which will be emailed to you electronically
  • Pay your fees (see below)

If you are under 18 your Parent or Guardian will be required to also sign your enrolment form


Payment Options

You can:

  • Pay upfront (Online, EFTPOS, cash, credit card, bank transfer)
  • Set up a payment plan
  • Provide an Authority to Invoice (if an employer or agency is paying)

Fee Concessions

You may be eligible if you have a valid concession card:

  • Health Care Card
  • Pensioner Concession Card
  • Veteran’s Gold Card

Indigenous students: Full tuition fee waiver available for all levels.
Non-Indigenous students: Concession rates available for Certificate IV and below.
(Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas do not receive concession rates.)
