A Bendigo TAFE student has become the first Bendigo-based recipient of the L'Oréal Groupe 2026 Beauty For All Scholarship, supporting her pathway into the beauty industry. 

Bree Styles was selected for the scholarship, delivered in partnership between Bendigo TAFE and L’Oréal Groupe, helps talented students pursue a career in the beauty industry with less financial barriers. 
 
Bree was selected for showing strong commitment to her studies and a desire to create welcoming, inclusive spaces where people feel comfortable and confident. 
 
“Having my tuition covered takes a huge weight off my shoulders,” she said.

“It means I can fully focus on learning, improving my skills, and investing in my future without the constant stress about finances.”

Bree’s journey into beauty began with a love of creativity and self-care, but her studies have helped transform that interest into a clear professional pathway. 

“Through my studies, I’ve realised beauty isn’t just about appearance. It’s about connection, trust, and helping people feel seen and valued,” Bree said. 

“I was first drawn to beauty because I loved the hands-on, creative side of it and how it can instantly boost someone’s confidence,” she said. 

Bree has turned her passion for helping people feel confident and cared for has turned into a life-changing opportunity

“To me, this industry is about empowerment – creating a safe space where people can relax and leave feeling better than when they arrived, not just physically, but mentally too.

She credits Bendigo TAFE’s supportive learning environment and practical training for helping her build both skill and confidence.

“The hands-on training and guidance from my educators have given me such a solid foundation,” she said. 

“I feel like I’m constantly improving and becoming more prepared for what comes next.”

For Bree, the scholarship represents both recognition and opportunity.

“Personally, it’s reassuring to know my hard work is being recognised and that I’m on the right path,” she said.

“Professionally, it opens up opportunities and gives me the confidence to aim higher in my career.”

Bree hopes to use her skills to make a positive impact, one client at a time.

“I want people to feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. If I can positively impact someone’s day, even in a small way, that’s something I’ll always value,” said Bree. 

For others considering a career in beauty but unsure if it’s possible, Bree has simple advice:

“Don’t doubt yourself. If you’re passionate about it, there is absolutely a place for you in this industry. With the right support, anything is possible.”
